Frequently Asked Questions
How does student self storage work?
Self storage is an easy and flexible solution allowing you to store your personal and educational belongings over the student holiday period. Rather than having to struggle with the inconvenience and expensive of taking your items home at the end of term you can use self storage to keep your belongings safe and secure ready for your return to university.
What sort of things can I store with you?
Each item can be a student storage box, bag, holdall, suitcase, black bin liner, bicycle, small item of furniture, ironing board, clothes rack etc.
What methods of payment do you take?
You can make payements either over the phone with debit or credit card by calling 0161 304 5695 or by paying your collection driver in cash when he comes to collect your items.
Where do you collect from and to?
If you live within a 60 mile radius of our storage facility (M34 3GE) then we will collect your items from your front door and return them to you on the agreed upon date. If you move between your collection and re-delivery simply give us your new address and we can arrange your items to be returned to there.
What happens if I need to increase or decrease the number of items I am storing?
If you need to change the number of items you are storing following the initial quote we gave you simply give us a call or let us know during the collection and we can recalculate the cost based on what you are storing.
What happens if I need to get my items back before term starts?
That's not an issue! Student Storage Manchester is open between the hours of 8am - 7pm 7 days a week meaning you can come to the storage centre and access your items at a time that suits yourself. You can visit as frequently as you like at no extra cost.
Why are you a lot cheaper than other storage companies?
We are proud of the fact that we are significantly cheaper than any other storage company in the Manchester area. We can offer the cheapest prices as we are a privately owned family business meaning we don't have to report to shareholders unlike some of our competition. Believe it or not we were once students too and understand that money can be right, for that reason we don't charge over the odds. We beleive in offering an excellent service for an affordable price.
